Catwalk first for modern islamic fashion

A new fashion business designing contemporary and stylish islamic clothing has sent its first collection on to the catwalk.
imaan collections set up by Sophi aKara, held the fashion show at new venue The Empire, the former St Marks Church, in Belgrave Leicester.
Described as designed for the "modest, modern" woman, the collection features loose fitting garments to be worn over western clothes.

Islamic Fashion in award draw

A Fashion venture aimed at designing stylish and contemporary islamic clothing has been shortlisted for a national business award.
Imaan Collections, based in Leicester is on the finals of the Handbag.com Barclays Business Plan Awards,with the winners anounced on Monday.
