Sophia set up her online business in MARCH 2006 after completing the New entrepreneur scholarship programme with skills for enterprise. Sophia`s business was recognised by the handbag.com awards in 2005 when she was selected as one of the 4 finalists in “outstanding contributions to the community” category out of hundreds of applicants who had applied from all over the U.K

She has taken on the position with her trademark confidence and conviction, and has brought a powerful point-of-view to the headlines with the likes of BBC NEWS and RADIO LEICS plus their website featuring the collection, local papers and the likes of international papers too “Herald Tribune” (amercian newspaper) and magazines, “69.247.com” and ”emel”. IMAAN COLLECTIONS have also staged Charity fashion show events.

In Just over 2 years Imaan collections have caused topics of discussion and debates of how “Islamic fashion” is interpreted.

By reinterpreting elements from the western designer fashions and the rich cultural and Islamic heritage of her background, Sophia has infused her designs with pure indulgence in fabrics and textures with a twist of modern appeal.

This has attracted and generated a complete new deprived segment of the market, and her designs are now embraced by young students to business professionals from all over the world- all of these women all have one thing in mind…MODESTY!
